AAC-Solutions for
Families and Educators

Parenting a child with special needs means endless therapy appointments, school meetings, and doctor visits—all while managing meltdowns and everyday family life.

For organizations serving these families, it means navigating complex needs with limited resources.

It's exhausting, overwhelming, and often lonely.

I'm here to make your life easier.

I'm here to make life easier for families and organizations alike. As both a speech-language pathologist and communication coach, I recognize that children exist within interconnected ecosystems—family at home and professional teams at school or therapy centers.

For meaningful progress to happen, everyone needs aligned support.

With over a decade of experience specializing in autism, cerebral palsy, ADHD, and apraxia, I focus on what motivates your child.

As an AAC specialist, I can:

- Recommend the right communication technology for your child

- Help secure insurance funding for devices

- Create practical implementation plans for home and school

- Support the journey toward verbal speech when possible

What is AAC?

Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) is exactly what the name suggests: "Augmentative" means enhancing or supporting existing communication abilities, while "Alternative" refers to different methods of expression beyond speech. Together, AAC represents a collection of tools and approaches designed to help overcome everyday communication challenges.

For children who struggle with speech, AAC provides pathways to expression. This could be through visual communication boards, specialized apps on tablets, or dedicated devices that speak words aloud. Each solution is uniquely tailored to fit your child's specific needs and abilities.

Bridgette Nicholson, Occupational Therapist

It was truly wonderful working with Lindsey because of her unique mix of skill, personality, and the energy she brought to everything she did.

She has a great sense of humor, and she was able to interact with people in a serious, informed, and highly skilled way when needed—but also knew how to be relaxed, approachable, and social when the moment called for it.
